行勻全香港－第5站
「港未婚女逾百萬 黃大仙內陰外陽最失衡 」這新聞標題相信引起了不少人的討論 (或恐慌)，原來除了新聞所提及黃大仙區的人口最年老和教育程度最低外，黃大仙也有其他「香港第一」。翻查資料，黃大仙擁有全港第一大的戲院和可能是全港第一座過山車！

全港最大的戲院是位於新蒲崗的麗宮戲院，於1966年開幕，共有3000個座位，儼如置身足球場之中。戲院以《彩色青春》作開業獻影，而且院外有不少小食檔售賣魚蛋、甘蔗和臭豆腐等等，觀眾可攜帶食物入場。　　

而可能是全港第一座過山車則位於啟德遊樂場，原址為現在的彩虹道遊樂場，耗資800萬港元建成，並於1965年1月31日開幕。場內有碰碰車、摩天輪，鬼屋等遊樂設施，當時有不少歌星如尹光和徐小鳳登台演出，而場內更設有四間戲院。

可惜兩個地方分別於1992年及1982年結業，但它們為香港人帶來的歡樂記憶是不會褪色的。

“Over a million women stay unmarried—Wong Tai Sin is the most gender-imbalanced district”. This news headline arouses lots of people’s discussions (or panic). Besides being the district with the most ageing and having the population with the lowest education level, Wong Tai Sin is renowned with other “the most” of Hong Kong. The movie theatre with the most seats and probably the first roller coaster in Hong Kong were both located in Wong Tai Sin district!

The biggest theatre was Lai Kung Theatre. It was opened in 1966 with 3000 seats, just like being placed in a football pitch. The first screening movie is “Colourful Youth”. The tempting street food sold outside of the theatre such as fish balls, sugar cane and stinky tofu were also attractive. Audience can enjoy the food while watching the movie.

Probably the first roller coaster in Hong Kong was located in Kai Tak Amusement Park. It was at nowadays’ Choi Hung Road Playground. It took $8 million to construct and was opened on 31 January, 1965. There were other rides such as bumper car, ferris wheel and haunted house. There were also famous singers having performances there like Wan Kwong and Paula Tsui. Four theatres were located inside the park as well.

Unfortunately, the two places were closed down in 1992 and 1982 respectively. Yet, the delightful memories brought to Hong Kong people will never fade away.
