Kwun Tong
One of the first New towns in Hong Kong, Kwun Tong was, and remains, a major industrial area. Its population has been growing rapidly, and the demand for housing, medical and educational facilities and services has been increasing. In view of this, a number of community development projects, such as the redevelopment of old housing estates and the construction of major parks, have been implemented in recent years. These projects have incorporated a wide range of supporting facilities, like primary and secondary schools, clinics, community centres and open spaces. All these facilities have brought about a new face to the Kwun Tong District, making it a more comfortable place for the people to live.

Have you seen this graffiti before? Do you know where it is located at? The answer is along Kwun Tong Promenade!
Kwun Tong Promenade, adjacent to Kwun Tong Bypass, is built on the site of the former Kwun Tong Public Cargo Working Area. The length of the promenade is about one kilometer long and we can see the scenes of the Kai Tak Pier and Lei Yue Mun, as well as the splendid night view of the Victoria Harbor. We can see a lot of runners along the promenade and it is also a cultural place where graffiti and installation arts are located.
Trying the delicious food in the Café located inside the industrial buildings might be leisurable, but going out and enjoying the view along the promenade is also a good way to escape from the hustle and bustle!
